Review: Maybelline's The Falsies Volume Express Mascara

I was so in love with my last mascara, because it gave my lashes the perfect volume, but sadly I ran out of it. haha (last month all of my make up was almost gone with the wind so i had to re stock).

Anyways, I've seen this product been adverstised as "the best mascara ever", but as i'm such a negative person (lol) i didn't believe it (let's be honest: lashes ads are full of false eyelashes)... But since I kept seeing this in so many gyaru magazines and I found out reviews with only positive comments, I decided to give it a try.


♠Pros:
-IT'S AWESOME. That sums it up pretty much haha
No, seriously:
-Gives a "falsies" look, just like its name. After I wear it, a lot of friends and random people on the street keep asking me if I'm actually wearing false eyelashes! Wow
-Your lashes will look long as hell
-Waterproof. Even if I take a bath or cry (rarely).. it will still last.
- Cute packing. I just love the vibrant hot pink color
-Curved brush that helps when applying
-Its packing it's thick(? fat(? don't know how to explain this... but I find it comfortable while aplying because of that
-Flexible brush head

♠Cons

 -Doesn't work as well with lower lashes. I find it difficult to apply it to my lower lashes.. maybe because of the brush

-It looks too thick on my eyelashes

                                                                 -It takes time to dry out so my make up  almost always gets messed up because my lash would touch my lids and leave a dark spot

-Takes time to build up the falsies look

- Difficult to remove since it's waterproof... even my make up remover can't completly remove it from my eyelashes

Although I wasn't in the mood, i think it was good to meet them again.

Lately, I've not been putting on strong make up.

I like minimal and light make up, but maybe because I'm getting lazier...

Also bought a Dorothy Gray doble eyeshadow, but i'll use it for contouring

Brown eyeshadow (left) for countouring and pale/white eyeshadow(right) as highlighter.

It works pretty well for my nose. However, the brown one leaves a little redish color to my nose.. idk why.

†Church†

One of my best friends had a play at her church, so I went with Mica to cheer her up. Although I don't agree with a lot of things of her religion, I had a great time.

I arrived early (as always since my friends have that habit of arriving really late), so I was alone in a place I didn't like, with people I barely know and there were a lot of people.So basically... an atheist in a church haha. Great. I thought I was going to get the look a lot of times, since I've been there before an people looked at me as some kind of freak... However, everyone was very friendly, they smiled at me and welcomed me. Really warm people. 

So I sat and saved places for my best friend and her mum. As I waited, I looked at the room and the setting of the play was awesome! They had a live band, lights, scenario, almost everything. That was a really pleasing view. On top of that, there was some background music as you waited for the play to begin. There was a guy playing the piano (favourite instrument EVER!) and there was another one playing the saxophone. Srsly, how awesome can that be?

I waited a couple of minutes until my friends arrives and the show started. It was a musical. High School musical. Church musical.

Yeah really funny.

I was amazed by the singers (they were regular members of the church), and the amount of people that had a musical interest (a LOT).

I also enjoyed the performance of the actors, they took their roles really seriously.

So yeah, I thought the play was going to be a regular kind of lame play, but it surprised me and I actually enjoy it (which is very rare because I didn't buy a single word they were saying lol)

The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that 2 people came up to me asking me, or shall i say forcing me?, to joing their church. They even asked for my data... (my response: fake data lol). I found that quite annoying sicne It was raining, I was hungry and I wanted to go and eat but I couldn't since these people kept talking me about god and their church and bla bla bla. 

Anyways.. then we head over to the Village, which is a shopping. We ate at Burger King with her parents. I ran into my friend (the one who acted in the played) and other best friend! Cool! I had a great time.

Review: Rimmel Match Perfection Concelear

I run out of concealer so I had to buy a new one (dark circles aren't sexy so yeah..). After searching on the internet and reading a couple of reviews I decided to buy Rimmel's Match Perfection and try it out. So:

♠Pros

- I like it's aplication method. The brush is really comfortable and helps the concealer blend with your skin.

-Smooth

-Light: it doesn't seem like you're wearing any makeup.

-Cuality

♠Cons

- 7ml: I think it's really small.

-Kind of expensive: 60$ ARS for this small quantity

-Doesn't really match perfectly my skin color. I think I picked the wrong tone (fuck)

-Doesn't completly cover my dark circles... It kind of leaves like a violet circle... but when i aply a lot, it totally covers my dark circles.

You can see that i have dark circles below my eye (I usually tend to have them there, rather than have dark circles all around my eye.. luckily!)

Conclusion: I expected more of this concealer, since it's a good brand and it's kind of expensive. However I'm not surprised, almost all of brand concealers like maybelline, rimmel or other international brands can't do justice to my dark circles. The only one who's got that record is the Natura concealer, which is a Brazilian brand (that concealer was god's gift lol).

Hair and make up:

I love this big curls

Agejo-ish hair. I'm not a huge fan of this style but it looks good!

Make up: I really didn't like those kind of make ups that the magazine shows, so i'm not going to post it.

That aside, i'm dissapointed by the poor cuantity of pages dedicated to make up (only two or three)...
